The Gift of Grief

This is something I've been working on and through for some time. I'm completely conflicted about posting it, but at least I'm not forcing it on anyone. Actually, I'm always conflicted about posting what I write and nervous about sharing what I think, but this one has been particularly difficult. However, some of the best life lessons and best help I've ever received came through the words of authors who had the courage to lay it out there.

Writing offers a degree of anonymity, and, as I'm discovering lately, I'm much more comfortable behind a page or a screen. If you're interested, feel free to pop over to the other blog and have a read.  :o) If it encourages you at all, then the "work can be satisfied with itself". ~C.S. Lewis

RIP Objective Truth

I'm not exactly sure when objective truth died in America. The stench in Washington this week has made it appallingly clear that it is not only dead, it has devolved directly into the final stages of complete decay.

Want proof?

When someone can perjure themselves in front of the highest court in the land without any fear of punishment, subjectivity reigns supreme. When Hollywood is called in to report because on-screen debauchery, cheap thrills and entertainment are more highly revered by an entire society than work ethic, education and public service, there's no question that we've reached the point of no return.

If we are not the laughing stock of the entire world, well, we should be.
