Eight Long Years

Just kidding!

  

If someone had told me eight years ago that today, on mine and Jason's wedding anniversary, we'd be chasing a little bright-eyed, tow-headed ball of energy through Sea World San Antonio, one of two things would have happened.  I'd have sarcastically laughed that someone out of the room or I'd have jumped for joy.  I got to spend today with my two favorite people in the whole world (Jason took the day off.), and we had an absolute blast.

The constant giggles were almost more than we could stand.  So fun to watch.

We've been to Sea World three times, but never made it to the Shamu show until today.  Jonathan has been telling people all afternoon that he saw "real" dolphins, sharks and whales.  We have quite a few books on sea animals and we read some of them this morning.  So funny that he put the word "real" in front of what he saw today when describing it to our neighbors.  He's getting so big.

Jonathan took a minute to warm up to the water area, but once he was in, he was ALL IN.  When we pulled into Red Robin parking lot for our big anniversary dinner (chosen because it is a favorite of Jonathan's), this boy was out like a light.  He slept in the booth with his feet in mommy's lap.

We ended the day with a family bike ride.  Eight wonderful years with Jason and two with a darling little boy.  What a perfect day/ way to celebrate.
